• Images of Summer

I just wanted to share these two images as a tribute to a fantastic Summer now coming to an end. The reason for me choosing these two images is that they truly do reflect the fantastic rains that we have been so fortunate to have received. Today we are just a few days from the onset of our winter month’s and the area is recording excellent rainfall.

The Lake St Lucia system has recovered wonderfully and it is an absolute joy to see the return of White Faced Duck and Red Billed Teal to the floodplain. We have also spotted Saddle Billed Storks recently and a variety of Herons actively feeding on the abundant fish stocks that seem to be flourishing in numbers. If you visit be sure to take a walk along the shoreline at False Bay Park and enjoy the stunning views across the lake to Hells gate and the eastern shore dunes beyond.
